The Board of Directors which make up all of the Windmill Farms Districts would like to make their residents aware of an upcoming Solar Eclipse set to take place on Monday, April 8, 2024. The Solar Eclipse will begin at 12:23pm and last until 3pm with the time frame for totality set to begin at 1:41pm and last for four (4) minutes. While the Solar Eclipse might be an exciting event, there are still some cautionary measures residents should be aware of.

• Expect a large influx of travelers and major traffic delays due to many individuals hoping to view this event.
• Plan travel routes ahead of time and fill your vehicles up with gas before the weekend is over. Some gas stations may run out of supply due to the increased demand.
• Expect delays or failures in cellular service. The cell towers were not designed for such a heavy influx of users and may potentially fail due to this event.
• DO NOT look directly into the sun without proper Solar Eclipse glasses to protect your eyes from damage.

Ultimately, The Windmill Farms Districts would like all residents to be safe and remain aware of your surroundings. There will be an increase in Deputies on patrol to control traffic and ensure everyone's safety remains a priority. Please continue to monitor the District website for more updates.
